BEING GROWN UP MEANS

Being grown up means

"Since you're a girl.
You mustn't raise voice.
Of course you mustn't stare
At man's eyes.
And don't forget to braid
Your hair before evening.
And pray lord Shiva
Kneeling down each day
For twice".

 Being grown up means

"How much your stomach
Makes you crazy,
You must not tell it
Before your papa eats.
And never complaint
For water and grain
Though it can be scanty
Or the bowl may remain empty."

Being grown up means

"Endurance is your fortress,
Silence treasure.
You've to be dexterous
In the art of swallowing tear.
Keep yourself locked in room
During the days
When the stain on skirt,
Means you're ready for
Bringing another life
Though certificate declares you
As  under adult."

Being grown up means

"Beating the wings in vein.
Like the potter's wheel
Go round and round and round
Concealing exhaustion and ire.
Praise will be upon your head for 
Never ending attempt, to be,
A specimen of good and faithful,
An example of mute spectator."
